Island Gardens is located on Watson Island, an 86-acre island located directly between downtown Miami and Miami Beach that is accessible by automobile via MacArthur Causeway (I-395/Route A1A, the extension of I-95 to South Beach). The island is centrally located, being only 15 minutes from the Miami International Airport and less than 2 miles from the Port of Miami, the downtown Miami business district and South Beach. Almost 100,000 vehicles a day drive over Watson Island via the MacArthur Causeway, which has convenient on and off ramps for access to Island Gardens. The Project site, consisting of 10.8 acres of land and 13.5-acres of water, is located in the northwest quadrant of the island, facing the skyline of downtown Miami and the turning basin for the cruise ships docking at the Port of Miami.
